The project

Union is one of the main French urban renewal projects. Formerly an industrial zone, the 80-hectare site has largely been cleared of its previous buildings. This urban renewal project is exemplary in terms of sustainable development, intending to thoroughly mix residential with business areas.
As Lille’s first eco-district, Union is aiming for sustainbility in terms of both design and future management. When complete, Union will house 3,000 employees and 3,500 residents.
This development will take around 15 years up to 2022.
